What details about the Holocaust experience became clearer or more vivid for you because of the video?
I think the details about how the murdering was carried out became more vivid, along with how the concentration camps were viewed as "death factories".
Describe the video techniques used to tell this story:
Camera angles- The close-up shots on Elie Wiesel and Oprah: you could see their facial expressions.
The wide range shots- showed how vast the concentration camps really was
Graphics- The images of the Jewish people in the concentration camps boosted the proof that the Holocaust really took place.
Interviewing- The Interviewee was an excellent source to interview because he experienced the Holocaust, and because of the fact that he was indeed a writer.
Excerpts from the book- It helped the audience to see the Holocaust, through Ellie Wiesel's eyes
What is the "madness" the Oprah and Elie Wiesel speak of at the end of this section?
The madness was about the craziness of the whole thing. There was really no conclusion as to why the Holocaust took place. It was amazing to see that even through everything that Ellie Wiesel experienced, Oprah considers Ellie Wiesel a sane man.
